Events
The Sharvari Wasnik Foundation is committed to changing lives through active participation and on- ground active work. We conduct a variety of events for the engagement of the underprivileged communities which range from active change making like regular workshops to passive outcomes which include creating a growth- oriented environment for all. Various events and programs have constantly been running for the betterment of all. Creation of Mobile Applications and Websites have worked as catalysts of involving all sections of society to make living equal for all.
CLASS OF HOPE
Under the Class of Hope Program, which came to existence after the gracious contribution of Centre Point School and the The Global Education and Leadership Foundation (tGELF), dedicated volunteers contributed towards one motto- making education a tool for social change. Driven by this motivation, we conducted various sessions that had the ultimate aim of transforming the lives of young children through focus on their mental and physical health and for this, we conducted various sessions which were a mix of both fun and learning. The age group was carefully monitored and divided into two: one ranging from 5 to 15 year olds and the second, 16 year olds onwards. The children under this program were also
met with rewards like scholarships and assurance of continued support.

English speaking program
The Sharvari Wasnik Foundation conducted an English-speaking program in the Nandanwan area of Nagpur to empower the local community. It focused on improving communication skills through activities like group discussions and role-plays. The program helped build confidence and fluency in English, enhancing participants’ educational and employment opportunities.
Computer typing basics program
The Sharvari Wasnik Foundation organized a Computer Typing Basics program in Nandanwan, Nagpur to develop essential digital skills. Participants learned typing fundamentals such as finger placement, speed, and accuracy through practical sessions. The initiative aimed to improve efficiency and bridge the digital divide.
Mock MUN workshop
The Sharvari Wasnik Foundation hosted a Mock MUN workshop in Nandanwan, Nagpur to develop leadership and communication skills. Participants learned MUN procedures and engaged in simulated UN debates. The program enhanced public speaking, critical thinking, and global awareness.
Story telling workshop
The Sharvari Wasnik Foundation organized a storytelling workshop in Nandanwan, Nagpur to nurture creativity and communication skills. Participants learned techniques like character development and plot structuring. The workshop boosted confidence and provided a platform for sharing stories.

Dance session: Dance sessions are conducted regularly to boost the children's joy quotient and give them a sense of physical well being. This also acted as a space where the kids could express themselves through art and it boosted their joy quotient. It gave them the happiness they were long- deprived of. These sessions were conducted under expert guidance of volunteers and Choreographers.


Self- Defense: In a world such as we live in, it is a matter of high importance that the ones most susceptible to danger- the children- are protected. Regular self- defense workshops have been conducted so the children are aware of dangers and actively understand how to tackle them while keeping themselves safe. Under the guidance of Karate expert, Mr. Vinod Dahare, the children learnt about basic karate techniques and other self defense mechanisms.

Yoga session: In the chaotic lives of people living in slum areas, the concept of mental well- being is highly overlooked and so, special workshops for the mental peace and well being of children and teenagers were conducted by Yoga expert Pallavi Khandale ma'am from Centre Point School. She introduced children to basic mantras for converging attention towards a single thought and then active yoga proved to be helpful for children struggling with heavy physical exercises.
Hosted at the Sharvari Wasnik Foundation, this event explored the integration of AI and agile methodologies with a focus on prompt engineering. The event also highlighted emerging trends in AI, offering participants practical tools to apply in their own agile projects and boost productivity.

Scholarship: Exceptionally brilliant students constantly become invisible under the vast web of society and its shortcomings and so, as an effort to empower these brilliant lives, we offered children who performed exceptionally well sponsorships and granted amounts to them to spend on their educational expenses based on their performance in academics. This special delegation of amount for a special purpose of education helped them realise that education is always a must; and not just a passive of way of spending time.

Soft skills: With our ultimate aim being to boost the employability of children, in these evolving times, soft skills like professionalism, communication, time management, stress management, leadership, conflict management have been vital for growth. These have been taught to children time to time and step by step. Each step of the way has been efficiently managed through skill development programs.
Women Empowerment

Women empowerment is a core focus of the Sharvari Wasnik Foundation, which works to provide equal opportunities, education, and support to women from underprivileged backgrounds. The foundation encourages women to become independent, confident, and capable of making their own decisions by offering access to learning resources and skill-development programs. Through its initiatives, it aims to break social barriers, reduce discrimination, and promote gender equality. By empowering women, the Sharvari Wasnik Foundation not only improves individual lives but also contributes to the overall development of families and society, helping build a more just and progressive community.




The Sharvari Wasnik Foundation held a Cloth Donation Drive in Nagpur's Nandanwan area, collecting and distributing gently used clothing to underprivileged families. This initiative aimed to provide comfort and dignity during challenging times, with volunteers sorting, packing, and distributing the items to those in need.


Financial literacy: Financial literacy workshops have been conducted which aimed to teach women on how to earn their living ethically and in a dignified way, how to spend them effectively and also introduced them to forms of saving money. It was an overall engaging workshop taken under the guidance of SEBI. Experiments and personal insights from the trainer taught them the importance of knowing the careful spending of money.

Menstrual Hygiene: The Sharvari Wasnik Foundation organizes vital menstrual hygiene workshops in a local slum, specifically for pre-teens and adolescents. By involving mothers, the session fostered an open dialogue on health and safe practices. This collaborative approach empowered families to dismantle taboos, prioritizing cleanliness and dignity while ensuring the next generation manages their cycles with confidence and care.

Urban Sakhi is an app-based initiative by the Sharvari Wasnik Foundation aimed at empowering underprivileged women by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities. Through the platform, women offer services such as cooking, cleaning, stitching, and clothing alterations. The app connects them with customers while helping them build skills, confidence, and independence. It enables them to earn a steady income, become financially self-reliant, and lead dignified lives. The initiative also supports the growth and well-being of their families and communities as a part- time mode of working.
Udyogini, meaning a female entrepreneur, is an initiative of the Sharvari Wasnik Foundation dedicated to empowering women through skill development and entrepreneurship. Under this program, women are trained in packaging, manufacturing, and various income-generating activities. They produce and sell items such as pickles (achar), papads, and atta, gaining hands-on experience in business operations. Additionally, training in stitching and sewing equips them with practical skills to expand their earning opportunities. Udyogini encourages women to become self-reliant, confident, and commercially capable. By enabling them to manage production and sales independently, the initiative supports financial independence and dignity while uplifting their families and communities.
